Myrna Elizabeth Morrison of St. Margaret’s, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 7, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on May 25, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Archibald and Susan (Wilder) Morrison. Myrna worked as a cashier at Kmart and Kingston’s store. She loved getting together with friends for bowling and bingo. She and Paul made many trips around the Atlantic provinces, which Myrna loved dearly, especially PEI. Myrna looked forward to going to their camp on the weekend with Paul.

Myrna is survived by her common-law spouse, Paul Cook; one daughter, Barbara Taylor of Edmonton, Alberta; one son, Edward Garinger of Nova Scotia; one step-daughter, Jennifer Walsh (Scott) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; one step-son, Jamie Cook (Christina) of Napan, New Brunswick; seven grandchildren: Chad, Amy, Arielle, Sam, Taylor-Rae, Julie-Anna, and Addison; eight great-grandchildren: Leah, Logan, Wyatt, Nathan, Rhys, Diesel, Emma, and Cypress; three sisters: Jackie Girouard (Neil) of Hamilton, Ontario, Marjorie Morrison of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Heather Wilder-Harding (Jean-Marc Lacasse) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; special fur-baby, Molly; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and two brothers: Myles and Dwight.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church, 9371 NB-134, St. Margaret’s, New Brunswick, on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Margaret’s Catholic Cemetery, St. Margaret's, New Brunswick, at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
