Our world became a little less bright on May 9th, 2026, as we said goodbye to our dear mother Rhoda Theresa Savage of Bridgeview Hall, Miramichi and formerly of Lower Newcastle, NB. at the age of 94. 

Born in Chatham, NB on February 28, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Grace (Hay) Innis. Rhoda worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses over the years. She was a member of Saints Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church, Bartibog Bridge, and St. Anne’s Altar Society. Rhoda was also the last President of the Lower Newcastle Community Center.

In mom’s younger years, she enjoyed camping with her family, horse pulls, horse racing, many trips to Hawaii and annual trips to PEI with her “mama” and sister Ann. She would never miss an opportunity to eat out. Mom lived her life for her children, grandchildren, and great grand children whom she absolutely adored.
