The death of Joseph “Leo” Richardson, husband of Hazel (Robichaud) Richardson of Bellefond, NB, occurred on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at his residence at the age of 83. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph “Joe” and Alvina (Martin) Richardson. Leo was a member of L’Ascension Roman Catholic Church, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and spent many hours volunteering. Leo worked for 30 years at Heath Steel Mines prior to its closure and worked at many jobs over the years including cutting pulp and doing carpenter work. He loved playing Elvis Presley songs on the guitar, writing and recording songs and music, gardening, snowshoeing, skiing and salmon fishing.
