The death of Joseph Wayne Hogan, of Bridgeview Hall and formerly of Doyle’s Brook, NB, occurred on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 73. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late George Edward and Mary Muriel (Maillet) Hogan. Wayne was a Millwright who travelled and worked at various Mills around the province. He was a member of the AA, was committed to reading his daily readings and was a faithful believer that you must take “one day at a time”.
Wayne is survived by his siblings: Joan Walsh (Junior) of Miramichi, NB; Maureen Hogan (Jack) of Etobicoke, ON; Germaine Flett (late Ernest) of Derby Junction, NB; Linda Lavoie of Yukon; Mary Cassell (late Richard) of Quarryville, NB; Peter Hogan of Derby Junction, NB; Bernard Hogan (Ursula) of Blackville, NB; Michael Hogan of Upper Derby, NB; brother-in-law: Sherman Tucker of White Rapids, NB; nieces and nephews: Ryan, Sarah, Jennifer, Catherine Ann, Rachael, Malcolm, Emily, Nigel, Erin, Kyle, Timothy, Anthony, Tracy, Natalie Rose, Kalvin, Amy, Colin, Jason, Robert as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wayne is predeceased by his sister, Lois Tucker.
The family will receive visitors at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 1-4 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at 11 AM with Father Paul Doucet officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
