Joseph “Frederick” LeBelle of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at home on September 20, 2025, at the age of 90.

Born in Lagaceville, New Brunswick, on January 16, 1935, he was the son of the late Peter and Angele (Gautreau) LeBelle.  Frederick was in the Military and worked as an Airplane Mechanic.  He attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

Frederick is survived by two sisters: Olive LeBel of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and Elizabeth Richard of Richibucto-Village, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was predeceased by his parents; wife, Alma (Mazerolle) LeBelle; two sons: Gregory and Richard; six brothers: Pacal, Jule, Henry, Michael, James, and Frank; and one sister, Eva.

As per Frederick’s request, there will be no visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Michael’s Basilica, 10 Howard St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Friday, September 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Father John Fraser as Celebrant.  Interment will be in Sainte-Anne’s Catholic Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
