The death of Stewart Joseph Augustine, of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at his residence at the age of 60. Born in Miramichi, NB, he was the son of the late Charles and Judith (Newell) Augustine. He worked as a carpenter, beautification worker, fish plant. Stewart enjoyed photography, listening to music and he loved his family very much.

Stewart is survived by brothers: Percy, Everett, David, Robert; sisters: Mary Jane, Rose, Connie, Audrey, Priscilla all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers: Charles, Michael, Terry Augustine; nieces: Priscilla Anne, Denise Dawn; nephew: Randall.

The family will receive visitors at Connies Residence, 10 Barlow Court, Esgenoôpetitj, NB, after 6pm on Monday, June 1, 2026, and again on Tuesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 o’clock with Fr. Cornelius Ngurukwen officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
