The death of Joseph "Daniel" Bartibogue of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, husband of the late Mary Lou Larry, occurred on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 60. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Samuel Metallic and Christine Bartibogue.

Daniel Bartibogue was a respected member of the community who enjoyed coaching, carpentry, and watching sports in his free time. He was known for his hard work, generosity, and the positive impact he had on those around him

Daniel is survived by daughters: Lana Larry (Nate Hoekman) and Barbara Augustine both of Fredericton, NB; son: Diego Joe of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; 3 grandchildren; sisters: Irene Mitchell, Theresa Bartibogue, Patricia Smith, Darlene Francis (Preston); brothers: Michael, Isaac, Wildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

 Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers; Thomas, Noel, William, Robert, David; sister: Marjorie Martin.
