The death of Genevieve Cecelia Howe, wife of the late Edward Savoy of Saint John NB, and second husband Reginald Hubbard of Miramichi, NB occurred on Monday, May 13, 2024 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. She was 87. Born in Boom Road, she was the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Baisley) Howe and was the last of her several brothers and sisters to pass. 

Genevieve worked as a member of the cleaning staff at the Saint John General Hospital for several years, moving to Newcastle following the death of her husband, Edward. She later married Reg Hubbard and moved back to Saint John, where she worked at Turnbull Nursing Home as a personal assistant for several years before returning to Newcastle and assuming new responsibilities as a personal assistant until her retirement. 

Affectionately called Gen by family and by all who had the pleasure of knowing her, she had two passions in life: God and her family both of whom helped see her through the difficulty of her final days.
