With the closure of the Salvation Army’s Miramichi location earlier this year, a significant gap was left in the supports many families counted on during the holiday season. Rather than let that need go unmet, local churches, church groups, service clubs, nonprofits, and caring businesses across Miramichi have come together to launch a new community-led initiative:

 

The Miramichi Christmas JOY Program.

This new program exists for one reason: to bring Christmas assistance to families who need a hand up this season. The Downtown Newcastle Business Association is proud to partner with this team to help spread the word and spread Christmas joy throughout our community.

Applications are now open until December 10th.

 

No Social Development file is required - and those who need a hand up are encouraged to apply; applications are private and discreet.
