The death of Edward “Eddy” Thibodeau of Losier Hall and formerly of Beaverbrook, NB, occurred on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Losier Hall at the age of 85. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Xavier and Mary Louise (Dignard) Thibodeau. 

Eddy is survived by his children: Joseph Thibodeau (Bonnie) of Miramichi, NB; Eric Thibodeau (Linda) of Durham Bridge, NB; Kevin Thibodeau (Lorraine) of Miramichi, NB; Ricky Thibodeau (Debbie) of Miramichi, NB; Tina Hogan of Grand Rapids, USA; Tammy Campbell (Keith) of Warwick Settlement, NB; Tanya Meekins (Wes) of Amherst, NS; Sherri Thibodeau; former spouse: Debra Young of Beaverbrook, NB and their children: Charlene Thibodeau of Miramichi, NB; Mark Thibodeau, Matthew Thibodeau and Aaron Thibodeau of Miramichi, NB;  brother: Marcel Thibodeau (Margaret) of Eel Ground, NB as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Eddy is predeceased by his son: David Thibodeau; siblings: Jane & Gertrude and mother of his children: Gert Thibodeau.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 6-8 PM followed by closing prayers at 8 PM with Father Antonio Reyes officiating. Burial will take place in the L’Ascension Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
