Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" (Nicholson) Barry, passed away at Losier Hall on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the age of 93. Betty was born September 23, 1932 in Renous, NB, to the late Ambrose and Jane (Buggie) Nicholson, Betty was married to the late Howard Barry.
She is survived by six children; Linda Hughes (Gene) of Derby Junction, NB, Pam Hutchison (Randy) of Derby Junction, NB, Gail Cormier (Dan) of Rexton, NB, Eric Barry (Brenda) of Derby Junction, NB, Karen Leverton (Dave) of Miramichi, NB and Jason Barry (Melissa) of Derby Junction, NB; 12 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sisters; Louise Kangrapool of Dartmouth, NS and Theresa Turcotte of Bathurst, NB.
Betty was predeceased by her husband, parents, brothers: Leo, Louis, Lewis, Murdock, John; sisters: Lucy, Edith, Marie, Beatrice: and son-in-law; Jim Hughes.
Although music was a major part of her life, she also enjoyed reading, mastered sewing and treasured family visits.
As per Betty’s wishes there will no visitation or funeral service. A private interment will be held at Our Lady of Good Council Roman Catholic Cemetery, Millerton, NB.
