It is with deep sadness that we announce Mary Theresa Quimby has passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on October 15th 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Miramichi, Theresa was the cherished daughter of Mary and the late Bud (William) Vautour.

Theresa will be missed by her loving husband and soulmate Bryan Quimby, her son John (Rachel) Quimby, as well as many cherished friends who became like family over the years.

A proud graduate of Acadia University, Theresa built a long and devoted career with the Royal Bank of Canada where she met many life long friends. Outside of work, Theresa found great joy in giving back to her community. She was deeply passionate about supporting others in their fight against cancer. Her time on the advisory committee for Wellspring allowed her to share her compassion, wisdom, and strength with those walking a similar path, offering comfort and hope when it was needed most.

Theresa will be remembered for her warmth, sharp wit, and her remarkable ability to make everyone feel seen and valued. She had a gift for finding joy in life's simple moments — a quiet afternoon coffee, a heartfelt conversation, or laughter shared around the kitchen table. Her home was always a place of comfort and belonging, and her kindness, strength, and love will continue to live on in all who were fortunate to know her.

A special thank you to the oncology and palliative care nurses at the Moncton Hospital who took excellent care of her.

Visitation will take place October 19th 2025 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at Fair Haven Funeral Home, 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton. The funeral service will be held October 20th 2025 at 1pm in the Fair Haven Chapel.
