The death of Mary “Nora” (Dedam) Ward, wife of the late Eugene Joseph Ward, of Esgenoôpetitj, NB, occurred on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 78. Born in Esgenoôpetitj, NB, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Hilda (Peter Paul) Dedam.

Nora is survived by children: Michelle Ward (Christopher Francis), Dean Ward (Nicole), Jennifer Ward (late Delbert Poirier), Jeremey Ward (Jill), Noreen Mitchell (Gary), Wendell Ward (Beverly Denny) all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; siblings: Mary Ann Somerville, Mavis Mitchell, Simon Dedam all of Esgenoôpetitj, NB; grandchildren: Robbie, Julien, Jensen, Jenna, Madison, Mark, Brent, Kendall, Matthew, Daphnee; 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
