With deep love and sadness, the family of Mary Anne Baisley (née Beaulieu) announces her passing at Vondy House on November 16th. 2025, at the age of 81 with her loving family by her side.
Born in Bellefond, NB on May 7th, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Beaulieu Sr. and Alexandrine (LeBreton) Beaulieu. She married the love of her life, Ronald Baisley, on August 17th, 1963, and they built a lifetime of memories together - raising three children, hosting family get-togethers, and enjoying outdoor activities - boating, snowmobiling, camping, a day at Middle Island or a trip to the woods to view the fall foliage. They especially enjoyed camping in their travel trailer - trips to Ontario, the New England States, various locales around the province, weekends locally at The Enclosure or Manderson’s. Their favourite spot in later years became near the river on Ronnie’s family home property where they parked their trailer for the season. They spent many happy hours sitting by their campfire, listening to the river flow by, taking advantage of the rural darkness to view the night sky and watching for local wildlife.
Mary Anne was a wife, mother, and homemaker who enjoyed time with family, organizing anniversary parties, family gatherings, hootenanny for friends and family, tending her flower beds, keeping a scrapbook of family obituaries/news articles, and cooking. She was known for her delicious meat pies which were shared all year but a special treat at Christmas. Like other members of her family, she was musical but shy about sharing her talents. When you could convince her to join in, she voiced a beautiful rendition of The French Song.
Mary Anne worked outside the home at The Met, Jean’s Restaurant, and the Chuck Wagon Take Out briefly early in her marriage but family was the heart of her life and soon it became her main focus. She was a loving and proud mother to sons Terry Baisley (Shelley) of London, ON, Wayne Baisley (Cindy) of Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON and daughter Arleen MacDonald (Michael) of Kingston, ON; grandchildren Harmony (Veilia) and Randy Baisley and Kaitlyn (Bailee) and Matthew (Lily) MacDonald. She is also survived by her sisters Genevieve Beaulieu, Miramichi and Ann Duffy, Calgary, AB; brothers Francis Beaulieu (Claudia), Néguac; Jean Claude Beaulieu (Angela), Miramichi, Mark Beaulieu (Edna), Beaverbrook and Roger Beaulieu (late April), Miramichi; sisters-in-law Faye Baisley, Shirley Moffatt (Doug) and Barbara Waye (late Kevin); special friend and cousin Rejeanne Chamberlain; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mary Anne is predeceased by her husband, Ronald Baisley; two infant brothers Robert and Paul Beaulieu; brothers Arthur (Tess) Beaulieu, Antonie (late Angela) Beaulieu, Gerard (late Dianne) Beaulieu, Louis (Paulette) Beaulieu, and Reggie (Cathy) Beaulieu; in-laws Morrissey and Dolly (McNeill) Baisley, sisters-in-law Angela, April and Diane Beaulieu, brother-in-law Kevin Waye.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mount St. Joseph and Dr. Kris Wierzchoslawski. A special thank you goes out to the staff at Vondy House Hospice, who gave her and the family compassion and comfort at the most difficult time. We want to especially thank Rejeanne Chamberlain, her supportive friend and cousin who spent countless hours with Mary Anne at the Mount.
At Mary Anne’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private graveside service will be held at a later date. In her memory, those wishing to do so may make a donation to Canadian Diabetes Association. Messages of condolence can be sent through our website: www.miramichifunerals.ca
