Marian Ina Luttrell passed away peacefully on January 19, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on August 11, 1938, in Saint John, Marian lived a life marked by faith, dedication, and quiet strength.

A woman of deep faith, Marian was a devoted and active member of the Catholic Women’s League for many years. Her involvement reflected her commitment to showing compassion, service, and fellowship within her church community. Marian’s faith was a guiding force throughout her life and remained a source of comfort and purpose. Marian also had a lifelong love of skating and was a proud member of a skating club for many years. Through this passion, she formed lasting friendships and remained active and engaged in her community, finding joy both on and off the ice. She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her dedication to her faith and community, and the example she set through a life lived with grace and kindness. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Marian will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Heather (David) MacDonald, her son, Father Dan Melanson, her stepsons, Roger (Debbie Clark) Luttrell and Andy (Jo-Anne Magennis) Luttrell, her sister, Thelma Titus, her grandchildren; Ian (Amelia) MacDonald, Brock (Megan) MacDonald, Evan Luttrell, Ryan Luttrell and Trevor Luttrell along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

She was predeceased by her parents, Vaugh and Marguerite, her first husband, Robert ‘Bobby’ Melanson and her second husband, Floyd Luttrell.

Resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, NB (506-634-7424), where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, NB. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery following the reception.
