Margaret Mary Belliveau, mother of Jacqueline (Lorne) Jay, passed away at the CHU Dr. Georges L. Dumont on October 21, 2025 at the age of 96.
Born on August 10, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Eugene A. and Abbie (Mulhall) Dietrich. She worked at the Moncton Hospital as a nurse in the maternity ward until her retirement. Margaret Mary loved playing bridge and spending time with her family, especially her spaghetti night.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Laurie of 70 years of marriage; five daughters, Jacqueline (Lorne) Jay of Miramichi, Mary-Anne (Sylvain) Leclerc of Shediac, Laura-Lise (Dave) Quigley of Cape Breton, NS, Natalie (Jacques) Cormier of Moncton and Margo (Don) Richard of Dieppe; five sons, Marc (Paulette) Belliveau of Moncton, Gerard (Louise) Belliveau of Grand Barachois, Eugene (Karen) Belliveau of Quispamsis, Jean (Chico) (Claire) of Dieppe and Richard (Monique) Belliveau Dieppe; 43 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Tim.
A gathering honouring her life will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 2 pm to 4 pm, where condolences may be offered to her daughter Jacqueline Jay (Lorne); and her grandchildren, Amy Shaddick (Corey), Erin Jay, Nic Jay (Jessica), Abbie Dunn (Brian), and Alex Jay (Sarah).
