Janet Victoria Williston passed away peacefully at Loch Lomond Villa on November 11, 2025, at the age of 88. Born in 1936, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Kern) Colwell of Saint John, NB.

Janet was predeceased by her late husband Philip N. Williston and is survived by her sons Mark (Sheona) Williston of Ontario, Phillip Williston Jr. of Rothesay, daughter Ann Bishop of Ste.-Marie-de-Kent and her very special grandchildren Emma, Liam and Eli.

Janet was predeceased by her siblings June, Douglas, Ronald, Beatrice and Barbara. She enjoyed time with family including sister-in-law Lois Colwell (Ron) as well as several nieces and nephews.

Janet will be remembered for being a living testament to her faith in God. Janet’s heart was filled with love for God, for His Church, for her family, for her friends and for others.  Janet was a source of love and warmth to everyone and her kindness, generosity and gentle nature touched the lives of many.  Her memory will live in our hearts forever.  

Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Mary and St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church, 646 Westmorland Road, on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11am. Reception to follow at the church. Interment will be held at a later date in Greenwood Cemetery. The family would
appreciate donations to the charity of one’s choice.
