In an announcement on November 7 the Government of New brunswick will name the Anderosn Bridge replacement the "Natoaganeg Crossing Bridge". The Natoaganeg community is planning on installing 7 panels on the bridge depicting their Seven Sacred Teachings which be unveiled at an upccoming ceremony in the spring.
The prress release from Natoaganeg said the "name was proposed by Mi'gmawe'l Tplu'taqnn Incorporated (MT!) and reflects the deep cultural heritage, history, and significance of the Mi'gmaq people in this region. The name "Natoaganeg" honours our community and the ancestral connections that continue to guide us today."
