The death of Giles Joseph Kenny, husband of the late Yolande (Couturier) Kenny, occurred on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the age of 74. Giles passed away at home surrounded by his family. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Michael and Cecilia (Estey) Kenny.

Giles had an extraordinary gift which allowed him to imagine, create and build anything. He was a carpenter and designed and built two dome homes. He was a steamfitter by trade and belonged to Local Union 488, Edmonton, AB. He was the President and Business Agent of the Miramichi Trades & Labor Union. Giles was a 1999 graduate from NBCC Miramichi’s Environmental Technology Program. Giles loved to travel as well. He was a recent recipient of the King Charles Ill Coronation Medal.

Giles is survived by sons: Kody (Kailla) of Miramichi, NB, Karl (Kait Walker) of Fredericton, NB; sisters: Judy Woods (John) of Nowlanville, NB, Janet Taylor (Brant) of Southesk, NB, Patricia Kenny of Douglastown, NB; brothers: Paul (Marlyn) of Chaplin Island Road, NB, Stephen (Michele) of Miramichi, NB; grandchildren: Krew, Kwyn, Kash; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by infant twins: William and David; brother: Eugene Estey; sister: Colleen Kenny; nephew Michael Kenny and niece Jackie Estey Hare.

As per Giles wishes, there will be no visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at 2 o'clock with Fr. Cornelius Ngurukwem officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery.
