The death of Dolores Teresa Dinan, of Losier Hall, occurred on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 90. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Frances (Whitty) Dinan.

Dolores is survived by brothers: David “Buddy” Dinan (Mary Jo) of Oshawa, Ontario, Billy Dinan (Carol Ann) of Moncton, NB; cousins and close friends: Jean and George Bowie; nieces and nephews: David

Dinan (Jessica), Kari Dinan (Gary Pynn), Jodi Dinan (Jaime), Justin Dinan (Jaz); as well as their families.

Dolores had many passions in life including teaching, travelling, painting and gardening. Her teaching career provided her with many travel opportunities. She completed a Bachelor of Arts from St. Thomas University, Fredericton, Le Baccalaureat d’Enseignement a l’Elementaire from Universite de Moncton and a Masters in Education from Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, N.S.

She was a member of the NBTA and taught at Nelson Rural School, St. Mary’s Academy, St. Michael’s Elementary, Ian Baillie Primary, C.F.B Chatham, Bathurst, Dalhousie, Alberta, Northern Ontario, France, Germany and Ghana, West Africa. She spent many summers furthering her education and travelling around Europe. She kept in contact with several former students and made many friends during her travels in Canada and abroad.

The family would like to thank Dr. Gerard Losier, Dr. Arthur Losier and the staff of Losier Hall for their compassion and care.
