The family of Betty (Allison) Sealy of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, would like to inform family and friends of her passing on January 9, 2026 at the age of 83. She passed peacefully with her family by her side.
Betty was born in Nelson Miramichi, NB, to the late Harry and Patricia Lee. She married the father of her children, Lenley Allison and lived in Strathadam for several years until Nelson became her home again in the 1980s.
Betty is survived and will be sadly missed by her three children: Dawn (Joey) of Fredericton, NB, Dale (Billy) of Barnaby, NB, and Ross (Laura) of Riverview, NB; her 5 grandchildren: Daniel (Jessika) Daley, Jonathan Daley (Chelsey), Andrew Drisdelle (Samantha), Erica Barkhouse (Seth), Tamika Allison; her great grandchildren: Hadley, Joe, Conor and James; her sister: Alberta (Cecil) Preston; as well as her nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents and brother: Everett Lee.
Betty spent many years with the Canadian Red Cross as a homemaker in the Miramichi area. She was a proud member of the Wesleyan church in Nelson and loved her church family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff at Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home for their dedication and expertise in their care given to our mom. We would also like to thank the staff in Palliative Care at the Miramichi Regional Hospital. You all took the time to help us through a very difficult week, we greatly appreciate it.
The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 11 o’clock with Pastor Gary Churchhill officiating. Interment will be at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery later in the spring.
