The passing of Robert “Bobby” Burns, husband of Melissa (Lockerbie) Burns, occurred on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at his residence at the age of 46. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of Jo-Ann (Coakley) and the late Bobby Burns.

Bobby worked for many years as a car salesman and later at the gun registry. Bobby was very interested in any and all sports, he played, coached and volunteered. He had been inducted in the Miramichi Sports Hall of Fame for Baseball, and had won an award for his volunteer work within the city.

Although he loved sports, he was so much more. He loved with all of his heart and loved life to the fullest. He enjoyed traveling and making memories with those he loved the most. He made everyone around him smile and was loved by all.
