Halloween comes early to campers kids

For the past 12 years, Halloween has come early for campers at Sunrise Campground.  As a way to close out the camping season with celebration for the many children who enjoy the campground all summer, the campground operators organize an early Halloween celebration.

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend, children are invited to participate in pumpkin carving, a costume parade, and trailer-to-trailer- trick or treating.  This year 96 children enjoyed very warm temperatures marched trailer to trailer filling their bags with treats.

The campground operators said the event started out as a pre-Christmas celebration to end the camping season, but transitioned to a Halloween theme that the children love.
