Winfield William Murdock of Black River Bridge, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on December 30, 2024 at the age of 77.
Born in Chatham, NB, on November 30, 1947, he was the son of the late Cecil and Jean (McGraw) Murdock. He was a carpenter by trade but also worked at farming and fishing.
Winfield is survived by his wife Eva (Lee) Murdock; three sons: Stacy (Jodi) of Miramichi, Billy (Chrissy) of Miramichi and Toby of Black River Bridge; six grandchildren: Rebecca, Jacob, Navie, Julian, Merissa and Jonathan and several great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Win had a very special daughter Tammy who was like a daughter he never had. Also he had a very special friend Trish from day one. He was predeceased by his parents, sisters: Marie and Mildred, brothers: Bryden, Leonard and Ray.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1-4 pm. PLEASE NOTE: Funeral service will be held at Adams Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at 11 am with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. Interment will be in Black River Community Cemetery later in the spring.
