The death of Valerie Lynn Fitzpatrick, wife of Stephen “Steve” Fitzpatrick of South Nelson, NB, occurred accidently on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the age of 51. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of Anne (Bradford) Hebert of South Nelson, NB and the late John Hebert. 

Mom loved everything outdoors, you could find her skiing or snowshoeing in the winter, swimming, fishing or boating in the summertime, anything to get her outside. 

Mom was passionate about helping people, she showed love in everything she did, from her job as a nurse, to helping at the Hope Cafe, to delivering meals to the seniors, she loved to help others. She lived life to the fullest and impacted everyone she touched. 

Besides her mother and husband, Valerie is survived by her children: Eddy and Avery both at home; sister: Robin Hallihan (Simon) of South Nelson, NB; mother and father in law: Steven and Diane Fitzpatrick of Boom Road, NB; brother-in-law: John Fitzpatrick (Tabatha) of Nordin, NB; nieces: Gillian, Ella, Lexi, and Mya, and nephew Noah, as well as many cousins, aunts and uncles.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on a day and time to be announced followed by a Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, 750 Water Street, Miramichi, NB on a day and time to be announced. Burial will take place in the St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery later in the spring.
