It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Simonne Marie (Arseneau) Wormell, of Mount St. Joseph, formally of Napan, NB, wife of the late Lloyd Wormell, which occurred on January 11, 2025, at the Mount St. Joseph, at the age of 81. Born in Inkerman Ferry, NB, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Jeanne (Landry) Arseneau. 

Simonne was retired from the Miramichi Regional Hospital where she worked in Medical Records. She had a love for the outdoors, including camping and hunting for moose. She also enjoyed watching various sports and stock car races.

Simonne is survived by children: Beverley Hilchey (Richard) of Napan, NB, Wayne (Joanne), Paul (Lori) all of Miramichi, NB, Tony (Natalie) of Nelson, NB, Chris of Moncton, NB; grandchildren: Joel, Lindsay, Cory, Tyler, Jillian, Brittany, Alexandra, Amber, Jayden, Taylor and Benjamin; 9 great grandchildren; sisters: Evangeline Daigle (late Gerald) of Miramichi, NB, Irene Cable ( late Percy) of Napan, NB, Cecile Webster (Albert) of Wassis, NB; brothers: Jean Paul (Mary Louise) of Scarborough, ON, Jean Guy (late Joan and late Ruth) of Miramichi, NB, John-Marie (Bib) (Joan) of Miramichi, NB, Gerard of Miramichi, NB; sister-in-law: Eleanor Wormell of Miramichi, NB; brother-in-law: Arnold Trevors of Miramichi, NB.

Besides her parents, she is predeceased by sister: Margaret, Mary Anne Dickson (Wilmer), Agathe Arseneau and Jeannine Duplessie (Telesphore)

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Micheal’s Basilica on Friday, January 17, 2025 at 2 o’clock with Fr. David Rioux officiating. Interment will be held in the church cemetery later in the spring.
