Simonne (LeGresley) Russell, passed away peacefully at Dartmouth General Hospital on Feb 27, 2025 at the age of 83. Born in Bartibog Bridge, NB, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Marie Ann (Savoie) LeGresley. She was a Registered Nursing Assistant prior to her retirement.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Kenneth Russell, and her sisters, Gabrielle Laviolette, Claire Palmer, and Marietta Savage and infant twin brothers: Edourd and Gerard.

Simonne will live forever within the memories of her loving daughter Alexandra (Sandy) Russell, who was her best friend. Simonne is survived by her son Daniel (Paula) Russell and her wonderful grandsons, Andrew and Adam Russell. She will be greatly missed by her niece / sister Marcia Gillespie, her partner Mark Hutt, and her children, Amanda and Allan Ferguson, with whom she had treasured relationships. She is also survived by her sisters: Antoinette (late Allard) McCarthy, Eva (Clarence) Turnbull, Anita LeGresley, Angele LeGresley, Denise (Eddy) LeGresley; brothers: Leo (Gisele) LeGresley, Raymond LeGresley, Tony (Lucia) LeGresley, Clarence LeGresley; brothers-in-law Norman (Geraldine) Savage and Earl King, as well as many great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, from 12-2:45 PM followed by the funeral service at 3 PM with Fr. Cornelius Ngurukwem officiating. In keeping with her wishes, interment will take place at Moorefield Cemetery at a later date.
