Family meant everything to Sandra. She loved being around her family at family gatherings, weekends at Rosemary and Murdock’s camp, Saturday night kitchen parties back in Barnaby and her annual Thanksgiving dinner that was a highlight of the family’s year with a feast of turkey and all the trimmings and a playful scavenger hunt for the children. She was a second mother to her nieces and nephews and often other children she baby sat throughout her life who called her Nanny Sandra fondly. She adored children and loved spending time with them especially her grandchildren and great grandchild. They all loved visiting her as she always had lots of toys and fun things to do. She loved to make crafts and bake with them. Sandra was an excellent baker and cook who loved to try new recipes. You were always known to have a delicious meal at her house.

Sandra lived in Toronto where her and Charlie married and had their 2 daughters. A few years later they came back to their roots of Barnaby River where her heart belonged by being surrounded by family and friends. It was there that she had her son. She and Charlie raised their family with love and good old fashioned morals. Their house was a home to many who knew them.

Sandra never wanted anyone to make a fuss over her and to respect her wishes there will be no visitation and a graveside service at a later date.

The family wishes to send a special thank you to Dr. Kris Wierzchoslawski and Extra Mural who took great care of her in her last few days along with her niece Laura Lynch who stayed by her side and supported the family in the most difficult time.
