We Remember PERCY ROSSIGNOL 

The death of Percy Rossignol, husband of the late Donna (Caissie) Rossignol, of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Friday, May 16, 2025, at his residence at the age of 84. 

Born in Rouyn-Noranda, PQ, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Rita (Poitras) Rossignol. 

Percy was a retired CSC Officer with 21 years of service. He retired in early 2000 to be a dedicated full time Pa to his grandchildren and to make sure he could watch his beloved Blue Jays play ball. 

Percy’s greatest joy was his family whom he loved dearly. He had many interests which included horses, painting, reading, cooking, music, farming, fishing and hunting. He was a fantastic story teller who was well versed in a multitude of topics. He had a gentle manner which made people immediately feel at ease.

Percy is survived by daughter: Cathy Rossignol (Jason Caissie) of Murray Settlement, NB; sons: Daniel (Adelle) of Ottawa, ON, Tim (Laura) of Riverview, NB; step daughter: Lisa Caissie (Colin Hopson) of Moncton, NB; sisters: Anne Marie Francoeur (Robert) of New Denmark, NB, Diana Rossignol of Rogersville, NB, Colette Goodine (John) of Tilley, NB; brothers: Phillip (Judy) of Oshawa, ON, Charles of Victoria Glenn Manor, Perth, NB, Roland (Ginette) of Grand falls, NB; grandchildren: Carl, Dylan, Jake, Nicholas, Lucas, Shanelle, Jasper, Austin, Haley, Caitin; great grandchildren: Raya, Kinley, William, Dallas; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents and wife, he is predeceased by infant son: Dennis; brothers: Romeo, Gerald; sisters: Florence, Therese, Alice, Lucille.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Thursday, May 22, 2025, from 4-7pm. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11 o’clock. Interment will take place at St. Theresa's Catholic Cemetery, Plaster Rock, NB.

In memory of Percy, donations can be made out to the Canadian Cancer Society.
