Laudia Marie Mercure of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on February 21, 2025, at the age of 92.

She was a woman with strong faith, who loved her family and prayed for all of them. Her words of wisdom at her 90th birthday to her family were “love one another and take care of each other.”

Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, on November 8, 1932, she was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Martin) McIntyre. She attended St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, Bay du Vin. She was a member of the Women’s Institute, and Anglican Church Women.

Laudia is survived by her partner, Bliss Kingston of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick; five daughters: Adrienne Martin (late Allison) of Miramichi, Rose Mercure (Fernand), Francine Mazerolle (Ronald), of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, Carole Kingston of Napan, New Brunswick, and Colleen Pineau (Edward) of Moncton, New Brunswick; three sons: Joel Mercure (Lorine), and Charles Mercure (late Julia) of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick, and Rene Kingston of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick; and daughter-in-law, Cindy Kingston (late Leon) of Bay du Vin, New Brunswick. She also had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren who adored her; four sisters: Jacqueline Martin (Robert), Zita Manuel (Rosaire), Geralda Martin (Charles), and Lucille Theriault (Eric), all of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick; two brothers: Aldore McIntyre (Marie), and Anathase McIntyre (Roseline), all of Baie-Sainte-Anne, New Brunswick; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, three sons: Eloi, Hilaire, and Leon, three daughters: Paulette, Ghislaine, and Veronica; four sisters, Juliette, Bernadette (Tammy), Donalda, and Julia, and two brothers, John and Urbain.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Monday, February 24, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. John the Evangelist Anglican Church, 7017 Route 117, Bay du Vin, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at 1 PM with The Reverend Richard Steeves officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Evangelist Anglican Cemetery later in the spring.
