The death of Joyce Mary (Newman) Hamilton, wife of the late Daniel “Danny” Hamilton, of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at Vondy House, Miramichi, NB, at the age of 85. Born in Newcastle, NB, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Nina (Clark) Newman.

She is survived by daughter: Brenda Allison of Miramichi, NB; sons: Paul (Cathy) of Miramichi, NB, Keith (Dawn) of Courtright, ON, Kenneth (Heather) of Miramichi, NB; sisters: Ruby Hamilton (Benny) Miramichi, NB, Eddie Blain (late Ken), Nashville, TN; grandchildren: Hannah, Hillary, Ernie, Daniel, Kaitlynn, Luke, Evan, Laura, Kadyn, Matthew, Megan; great grandchildren: Carly, Sophia, Issac, Rowen, Tom, Halle, Patrick, Tom, Kyron, Shay, Dani; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Beside her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her son: Kevin; sisters: Elva; brothers: Roy, Harold.

There will be a gathering for family and friends at Jardine Funeral Home on Monday, August 11, 2025, from 1-3pm. Funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:15pm with Pastor Wendell Gregan officiating. Interment will take place at Derby United Cemetery.
