The death of Joseph Albert Ward, of Metepenagiag, NB, occurred on Friday, February 7, 2025, at his late residence at the age of 78. Born in Metepenagiag, NB, he was the son of the late William and Mary Ann (Russell) Ward. 

Joseph is survived by sister: Philomene Connors of Metepenagiag, NB; brother: Michael Ward (Carolyn) of Metepenagiag, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he is predeceased by special friend and partner: Rita Francis; sisters: Bertha and Elizabeth; brothers: Anthony, William Patrick, Sylvester and Adrian. 

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at 11 o’clock with Fr. Peter Igwe officiating. Burial will take place at the church cemetery later in the spring.
