The death of John Peter Augustine Jr of Metepenagiag, NB, occurred on Friday, December 20, 2024, at the age of 70. Born in Metepenagiag, NB, he was the son of the late John Peter Sr and Bertha (Ward) Augustine.

John is survived by daughter: Carla Dawn Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB; sons: Conrad Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB, Albert Augustine of Metepenagiag, NB, Barry Simon of Elsipogtog, NB; sisters: Ina Green, Diane Sacobie (Ivan); 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Besides his parents, John is predeceased by son: Dave Augustine; brothers: Paul Robert Augustine, Michael Augustine; sisters: Joanne Augustine, Tammy Augustine and Linda Augustine.

The family will receive visitors at John’s home, 76 Indian Garden Road, Metepenagiag, NB, on Monday, December 30, 2024, starting at 2pm. Followed by a traditional ceremony held by Elder Donna Augustine “Thunderbird Turtle Woman”, the visitation will then continue until 10am on Tuesday, December 31, 2024.
