In Loving Memory of James (Jim) Wilson

1941 – 2025

James (Jim) Bliss Wilson of Miramichi, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 24, 2025, at the age of 83.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on December 11, 1941, James (Jim) Wilson was the son of the late William and Susan (Dickson) Wilson.

Jim was a dedicated member of St. Andrew’s United Church, where he served in various roles, including as a member of the Board of Stewards, a Member of Session, and a former Sunday School Teacher. He was also a member of the Highland Society of New Brunswick at Miramichi. Jim worked as a Millwright at Repap Pulp and Paper Mill for many years.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Faye (Whyte) Wilson; two daughters, Angela Wilson Cripps (Mark Smith) of Miramichi, New Brunswick, and Tanya Pineau (Wayne) of Ajax, Ontario; four grandchildren, Devon Cripps, Haylee Cripps, Jonah Pineau, and Jadyn Pineau; five sisters, Maye Tozer (Gerry), Marie MacDonald, Vesta Gouchie, Brenda Jardine (John), and Colleen Dickson (Hugh); two brothers, Robert Wilson (Dorothy Ann) and Henry Wilson (Karen); many nieces, nephews, cousins; his godson, Christopher Boomhour of Boston, USA; and numerous friends. He is also survived by his in-laws, Sandra Boomhour, Lynn Addae Whyte, Jack Whyte (Lynn), and Ken Whyte (Arlene), as well as his grand-fur-babies, Lilly, Max, Felix, Milo, and Tigger.

Jim was predeceased by his parents; his infant son, Ronald James Wilson; his brother, Ronald Wilson; and his brothers-in-law, Earl Gouchie and Ben MacDonald.

Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. 

A funeral service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 188 Wellington St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with The Reverend Charlene Maguire MacKnight officiating. 

Interment will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi, New Brunswick. The family invites all for fellowship and a light lunch downstairs following the service.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew’s United Church or the Alzheimer Society of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
