It is with heavy hearts that the family of Jamie John Somers announces his passing on March 24, 2025, at Bobby’s Hospice, surrounded by his loved ones.

Born on March 4, 1977, he was the son of the late Gary and Irene (Parks) Somers.

Jamie leaves behind his partner of 8 years, Sarah Sabean; his son Austin (Tyra Osborne); his beloved grandchildren Sophia, Wryn, and Sage; his father and mother-in-law John and Lynn Sabean; as well as his four feline companions, Gus, Mukky, Camper, and Mimzy.

Family was at the heart of Jamie's life, and he had an immense love for Sarah, Austin, and his grandchildren, who brought him endless joy. He was an extraordinary partner, father, and grandfather. Jamie treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, whether they were sliding or embarking on exciting adventures together.

Although Jamie could be a bit stubborn, he was always ready to offer a helping hand to those who needed it. He was a practical and skilled person, whether it involved household tasks or working on cars—he was always eager to pitch in. His love for the outdoors was evident, especially when he was off-roading with his trucks, getting them muddy. Alpine beer was always his drink of choice. Jamie found peace by the water, whether it was watching the waves in Renforth or sitting at the caves in St. Martins.

Jamie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424). In accordance with his wishes, there will be no formal services.
