The death of James Wallace Guy Dickie, husband of the late Jocelyn (Matchett) Dickie, of Miramichi, NB, occurred at his residence on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 64.

Born in Sudbury, Ontario, he was the son of the late James and Mildred Dickie. Prior to retirement, James worked as a miner and was a proud member of the mine rescue team.

He is survived by his daughter, Meghan Dickie of Miramichi, NB; sons, Jimmy Dickie (Nicole) of Miramichi, NB, and Jon Dickie (Julie) of Mineville, NS; and his cherished grandchildren: Kenson, Quinn, and Spencer.

Also left to mourn are his sisters: Debbie Moffat of Edmonton, AB, Cathy McEachern (Gordon) of Tabusintac, NB, Arlene Coombs (Jim) of Caledonia, NS, and Robyn McPherson (Johnny) of Dartmouth, NS; and his brother, Mike Dickie (Krista) of Quispamsis, NB. He is also fondly remembered by many brothers- and sisters-in-law, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 2–4 p.m. and 7–9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. James and St. John United Church on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Alice Szemok officiating. Interment will follow in New Mills United Cemetery, New Mills, NB.
