Heaven gained another angel when our beautiful mother left us at 6:34 pm with a tear rolling down her cheek. She was surrounded by love when she left.
The death of Jacqueline Ann (Carruthers) Ross, wife of the late Thomas Ross, of Miramichi, NB, occurred on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at the Miramichi Hospital at the age of 83. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Olive (Oldfield) Carruthers.
Jacqueline is survived by daughter: Wendy Sweezey (Jason) of O’Keefe Road, NB; sons: Charles Ross (Susan) of Chatham Head, NB, Troy Ross (Bonnie) of Saskatoon, SK; sister; Karen Negus (Gerald) of Saint John, NB; brothers: Blaine Carruthers (Aldora) and Allen Carruthers (Maureen) both of O’Keefe Road, NB; grandchildren: Kristie Lee, Jeremy, Melissa, Alex, Samantha, Landon, Taylor, Hunter; great grandchildren: Chloe, Jasmine, Sophie; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Jacqueline worked the majority of her life at JMH cafeteria where the kids lovingly referred to her as the lunch lady.
Jacqueline was a member of the Bethel United Church along with church organist for many years. She was an active memer of UCW and CGIT.
Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by brother: Frank Carruthers; brothers-in-law: Colin and Bill.
Following Jacquelines wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the Moorefield Cemetery later in the spring.
