The McIvor family is saddened to announce the passing of Ethel (Morrill) McIvor, which occurred at the Miramichi Hospital, on Sunday morning, July 13th, 2025, at the age of 103 years. Ethel was born in Saint John, NB, to the late Arnold and Mildred (Monk) Morrill. She was the wife of the late Weldon “Mac” McIvor for 63 years.

Ethel was an active member of the community; she was also a member of the Miramichi Order of the Eastern Star and the Saint Andrew's Anglican Church.

Ethel McIvor is survived by her sons: Richard (Lynn), Alan (Cheryl); grandchildren: Ian (Lisa), Dana; great grandchild: John Richard McIvor; step grandchildren: Adam Black (Sandy), Andrew Black (Cheryl); step grandchildren: Joseph, Haley, Connor and Samuel.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral home on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, from 1-1:45pm, with an Eastern Star service following at 1:45pm. A Celebration of Life and Funeral Service will follow at 2 o’clock. Interment will take place at Miramichi Cemetery following the funeral.
