Elinor Fowlie Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Elinor Jean Fowlie announces her peaceful passing on April 27th, 2025, at the age of 79, with her family by her side.
Born in Napan, NB she was a daughter of the late John and Vera (nee. Lockerbie) Godfrey.
Jean leaves behind her husband of 57 years, John “Archie” Fowlie; sons Dean (Erin) Fowlie of Ottawa and Dan (Amanda) Fowlie of Rothesay; grandsons Logan and Liam; granddaughter Aislynn; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Elinor was predeceased by her baby daughter, brother Perley (Rita) Godfrey, and sisters Jessie (Ronnie) Leet and Rhoda (Olin) Chapman.
Jean loved spending time with her family and was very involved in the lives of her 3 grandchildren. She was so proud of each of them and enjoyed hearing about the activities they were involved with each day. She enjoyed gardening, baking, and helping others whenever she could. She supported many charities throughout her life.
The family wishes to thank the staff of the SJRH Palliative Care Unit, The Extra Mural Program and the SCCR for their excellent care over the past few days and months.

In respecting Jean's wishes cremation has taken place with internment to follow at a later date at Pine Grove Cemetery in Loggieville, NB.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean's memory can be made to the NB/NS ALS Society or charity of choice.
