Mary Nina “Brenda” Peagam of Napan, New Brunswick, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on March 10, 2025, at the age of 77.

Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, on January 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Harris and Elvina (Hebert) Jardine.  She was a Dietitian for a number of years, and later became a Homemaker.  She attended St. Michael’s Basilica.

Brenda is survived by her common-law spouse, Louis O’Hearn; three daughters: Tammy Bremner (Stephen) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Kim Chambers (Lester) of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and Pamela Peagam (Jamie) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; five grandchildren: Jamie, Leah, Christopher, Courtney, and Alexa; four great-grandchildren: Christian, Cole, Ava, and Hayes; one sister, Diane Corcoran (Ronnie) of Miramichi, New Brunswick; three brothers: Richard Jardine of Miramichi,  NewBrunswick, Edward Jardine (Margaret) of Red Deer, Alberta, and Marven Jardine of Winnipeg, Manitoba; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  She was predeceased by her parents, sister, Sharon Brundin, brother, Wayne Jardine, and nephew, Steven Brundin.

At Brenda’s request, there will be no visitation.  Funeral service will be held at Adams Funeral Home, 140 King St., Miramichi, New Brunswick, on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with The Reverend Father Antonio Reyes officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
