John “Buddy” Hollier, husband of Pauline (Duffy) Hollier, passed away peacefully at home at the age of 86 on Monday, April 28th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Howards, NB, he was the son of the late Ernest and Helen (Keenan) Hollier.
He was a man of faith who always put his trust in the lord. He married the love of his life on July 23/1963. They shared a wonderful family who he raised with life devotion and guidance. He worked at Northumberland Coop for 37 years. He was full of life and the first to lend a helping hand to a friend or stranger. He lived his life to fullest and believed that things could always be worse in his time of hardships. On his spare time, you could be sure to find him with his family. His love for hunting with his boys and the outdoors was almost as close to his love for Ma.
Besides his wife, he is survived by daughters: Helen Curtis of White Rapids, NB, Denise Coughlan (Ricky) of Warwick, NB; sons: Duane (Natalie) of Gray Rapids, NB, Kendell (Julie) of White Rapids, NB; daughter-in-law: May Hollier; sisters: Helen Arbeau (Bliss) of Upper Blackville, NB, Florine Furlong (late Johnny) and Mary Colford (Ricky) both of Howards, NB; sister-in-law: Minnie Hollier; grandchildren: Darcey (Nancy), Mike, Tommy (Tammy), Lynette (Mason), Courtney (Allan), Brandon (Ashleigh), Radley, Kyliee (Jacob), E.J; great grandchildren: Joshua, Katelyn, Janson, Jerryka, Gracie; great great grandchild: Jesse; special nephew: Pat Colford (Yvonne); as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he is predeceased by son: Bradley Hollier; grandson: Chandler Coughlan; son-in-law: Evan Coughlan; brother: Ernest Jr; sisters: Marie Colford, Yvonne Colford (Floyd), Joanne Greco (Adam), Ernestine Heddle (Jack).
The family will receive visitors at the White Rapids CWL Hall on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 from 7-9pm and again on Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church at 11 o’clock with Fr. Paul Doucet officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
