The death of Donald “Donnie” Joseph Ferguson, husband of Mildred “Minnie” Ferguson of Cassilis, NB, occurred on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Percy’s Place, Miramichi, NB at the age of 90. Born in Cassilis, NB, he was the son of the late William and Frances (McKibbon) Ferguson. Donnie was a retired Labourer, power saw and skidder operator, who worked in the woods all his life.

Donnie is the last surviving member of his immediate family, being predeceased by his parents, son: Dannie (2020); brother: Beverly Ferguson and sister: Doreen Ferguson O’Connor.

Besides his wife Minnie to mourn his loss, he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive visitors at Jardine Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephen’s United Church, Red Bank, NB, on Thursday, August 7, 2025, at 2 PM with Rev. Géza Szemök officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
