Miramichi man identified as Alberta murder victim

garland40-year old Garland Curtis of Airdrie has been identified as the man found dead at an Airdrie home on Saturday, Jan. 12.

After an autopsy was performed, the Medical Examiner has determined that the death of Garland Curtis is a homicide. The cause of death is not being released.

Garland Curtis’ body was found after police received a call asking them to check on the welfare of Curtis who lived on the east side of Airdrie.

Corporal Turbull of the RCMP says when police arrived and entered the home, they found the body of Mr. Curtis.

RCMP still looking for victim’s missing 1994 Saturn SL2

garlands_carCorporal Turnbull adds police are searching for the victim’s car, a 1994 Saturn SL2 with an Alberta licence plate EFG 166. The four-door car is purple, but the driver’s side rear quarter panel has been repainted with a different shade of purple.

Anyone with any information about the death of Garland Curtis or the whereabouts of his vehicle is asked to call the Airdrie RCMP at (403) 945-7267 or their local police agency.
