A New Season of Dart Leagues Beginning Soon

By on September 8, 2011

Back to school for students, back to work for teachers, and back to darts for the leagues at the Chatham Head Recreation and Community Centre this month.  There is something for every dart player this year: from a fun-filled mixed league, to casual Friday night Meat Shoots, to one-on-one challenges in the Singles League, and a league for the ladies on Thursdays.

For anyone interested in the Mixed League, there will be a league meeting at 6:30 pm on Sunday, September 25th, with play beginning at 7:00 pm.  New teams are welcome, and every team should be made up of at least two men and two women.  Play is every Sunday at 7:00 pm, and consists of fifteen games of 701 darts, which includes double in and double out.

The Ladies Dart League will be holding its meeting on Thursday, September 29th at 7:00 pm at the Rec Centre.  Anyone interested in joining the League is encouraged to attend.  Teams should have at least five players, and will play Thursdays at 7:30 pm.

For those who enjoy the fast-paced challenge of one-on-one darts, the 501 Singles League will begin on September 27th at 7:30, with a meeting at 7:00 pm.

Finally, for those who do not want to commit to a league, but would still like to compete, there are weekly Meat Shoots consisting of six rounds with a blind draw for partners.  The first Shoot will be held on Friday, September 23rd at 8:00 pm.  The cost per round is just $1, and everyone is welcome.
