2012 Napan Agricultural Exibition Gets a new attraction, Lawn Tractor Racing

MYPIE vs MOLD, sounds like a recipe for a not so edible treat, but it proved to be an entertaining event that was witnessed by a large number of Napan Fair visitors as two groups of local well know personalities squared off in The First Annual Lawn Tractor races. The event was filled with trills and spills as the members of the MYPIE (Miramichi Young Professional Entrepeneurs) group proved that there is no substitute for being young as they easily defeated the group from MOLD (Miramichi Old Lads Department). It was all in fun and challenges for a rematch were quickly flying, shortly after the Race. It was a Great time. GIV’ER !!!!
We were there for this event. It was really good. However I was hoping to see a number of lawn tractors racing around the track and not just 2 like I have seen over in florenceville.
Maybe something to think about for next yr!
The way this turned out was not the way we planned. It was supposed to be a series of run offs with points going to each team. We never even considered that the competitors wouldn’t stop.
Jamie Jardine of Patterson’s and myself are looking at ways to expand on the current Lawn Tractor Rodeo. I would really like to see actual lawn tractor races in the future and will be working toward making that happen at future Napan Agr. Shows.
